About Us

Botanic Skin Care is a business dedicated to harnessing the power of essential oils, herbal extracts and botanically derived ingredients to provide natural skin care. Established four years ago by an aromatherapy enthusiast with advice from a naturopath and herbalist, the business was bought by Chris Mulligan in 2009. Chris has a passion to see natural ingredients used in the products we apply to our skin every day.

All Botanic Skin Care formulations contain only the best nature has to offer, including 100% pure therapeutic-grade essential oils, plant-derived oils and butters, herbal extracts, mineral clays, and natural vitamins. We also use certified organic ingredients wherever possible. Each product in the range is hand-produced in small batches to ensure freshness and quality.

We use only plant-derived preservatives in our formulas - Grapefruit Seed Extract in moisturisers, and a paraben-based extract (derived from benzoic acid from the benzoin gum tree) in masks and scrubs. These effective, natural preservatives ensure a shelf life of up to twelve months – providing products are suitably cared for. Ideally, use a clean spoon or spatula to remove product from jars.
